Microsoft has an ongoing bad policy of harassing users with products and services they don't want.
There was the time that they killed the perfectly good OneNote by shoving three icons for OneNote onto the task bar.
There was the time that they killed OneDrive by (1) making it the default place to save files with Microsoft Office and (2) making it impossible to save your work if OneDrive wasn't working (which was most of the time!)
I am thinking seriously about decommissioning my XBOX ONE for a number of reasons, including: (1) I don't have that many games I really want to play on XBOX, (2) Media functionality is almost right but not quite, (3) I am sick and tired of having GAME PASS shoved down my throat. If I can get my SteamOS building working well I'll give up on the XBOX ONE.
That said I am in no hurry to delete my GitHub account the way I deleted my SpammedIn account.
After the hobbits brought down Mordor (everybody remembers the cute hobbits, no one cares about the rest of the crew), d'ya think the Orcs settled that land and became farmers? How long before the neighbors trusted them? There's this natural suspicion that so much evil, for so long, poisoned the land in ways that infect anyone who lives and works there.
